On a typical Wednesday night, hundreds of people gather at our church.
The gatherings are typically segmented by age, life stage, or purpose to allow us to focus God’s truth on the needs of each group or to sharpen our skills for serving.
For example, just this past Wednesday night (February 15), 35 adults gathered for Wednesdays in the Word (verse-by-verse Bible teaching and prayer), while another 100 adults were participating in groups or studies all across our campus.
At the same time, 70 high school students and leaders were at “Across the Street,” 55 middle school students and leaders were in “The Basement,” 94 children and leaders were gathered for AWANA, and 35 preschoolers were being cared for and taught in Jesus’ name.
At the same time, 79 singers prepared to lead worship in blended choir rehearsal, 33 singers were in traditional choir rehearsal, 19 band and orchestra players were tuning up, and 7 production team members were preparing for Sunday worship.
Of the 535 people here that Wednesday night, 220 enjoyed a great meal in our fellowship hall (the meal is served buffet-style from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday night).
As you can see, regardless of your age or life stage, there’s a place for you on Wednesday nights at Ingleside. I hope you will join us soon!
Join me for “Big Wednesday.” Some time ago, however, we asked: wouldn’t it strengthen the sense of community at Ingleside even more if about once a quarter we encouraged all ages and life stages to come together on a Wednesday night for worship and fellowship?
We have discovered that the answer is, “Yes!”
So again on Wednesday, March 1, we are inviting everyone—all ages and life stages—to come for the fellowship meal, and then gather for worship at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center followed by an Ice Cream Social in the Gathering Area.
Who? Every age and life stage!
(Birth through age 4 in childcare during worship; with their parents for the social)
When? Wednesday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m.
Where? Worship Center
What? Worship, Lord’s Supper, Baptism, and Ice Cream Social
If you call Ingleside home, you will not want to miss “Big Wednesday.”
