Are These Dates on Your Calendar?
Now that the school year has concluded and the rhythms of summertime have begun, I want to make sure you have several important Ingleside dates on your June calendar.
June 3-7 | Xtreme Week – It’s our version of Vacation Bible School. It is a free and fun-packed time for children who have completed 3K-5th grade. There will be games, crafts, snacks, and great Bible teaching. Find more info and register here.
June 9 | Membership and Missions Classes – both classes begin at 4:00 p.m. No registration is necessary. The membership class is the way you join our church. The missions class is the way you prepare to go on an Ingleside mission trip. Come in the east entrance to the worship center and someone will be there to greet you and show you the way.
June 16 | Father’s Day – we will recognize, honor, and pray over dads in all of our morning worship services. Special music will be provided by Student Sessions (6th – 12th grade choir), who will have just returned from Sessions Tour.
June 23 | Budget Town Meeting – at 4:00 p.m. in room W-200, it’s a time for all to learn, ask questions, and offer suggestions during our annual budget preparation process. The Overseers approve the budget in July, our church votes on the new budget on August 28, and the new budget year begins on October 1.
June 26 | Church Picnic – under the big tents on the west side of our campus, the meal begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by worship through music, the Lord’s Supper, and baptism in Lake Ingleside. If you want to be baptized, reach out to one of our pastors or email us at [email protected].
June 30 | Last Sunday – my last Sunday as Lead Pastor at Ingleside will include two worship services at 9:40 and 11:00 in the Worship Center. Beverly and I will be in the Gathering Area prior to the first service and following the 11:00 a.m. service to speak to you personally. Food and fellowship will begin in the Gathering Area at 9:00 a.m. and continue throughout the morning.
I will be preaching in the Sunday services on June 2, 9, and 23. Pastor Justin will be speaking on June 16. I will have brief remarks on June 30.
