Budget Town Meeting – Sunday, June 23

Our annual budget approval process always includes a “town meeting” where all Inglesiders are invited to learn, to ask questions, and to offer suggestions as our budget for the coming year is formulated. This year’s budget “town meeting” is this Sunday afternoon, June 23, at 4:00 p.m. in room W-200.

Church Picnic – Wednesday, June 26

I hope you are planning to be part of our annual church picnic, which will occur under the big tents on the west side of our campus on Wednesday evening, June 26. The complimentary meal begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by worship through music, the Lord’s Supper, and then baptism in Lake Ingleside. If you want to be baptized, reach out to one of our pastors or email us at [email protected]. This great night of fun, food, fellowship, and worship is one you will not want to miss!

Becky Cleaveland’s Retirement

Becky Cleaveland and her husband, Bruce, joined Ingleside in July 1981. After twenty years as a volunteer in ministry, Becky began work on our staff as the Assistant to the Discipleship Pastor in November 2001. In September 2005, she became the Assistant to the Executive Pastor. Then, in June 2016, she became my Executive Assistant. Becky has announced her plans to retire on June 30.

For more than 22 years, Becky’s devotion to Christ, her diligent work ethic, her high standards, her practical wisdom, and her compassion and care for others have been an influence for good throughout our team. She has helped us all do more than the minimum as a way of glorifying God. And, as we all know, “Excellence honors God and inspires people!”

Our leaders and staff are honoring Becky appropriately as she retires, and I hope you will offer her your personal thanks, well wishes, and prayers as she leaves our team and begins a new chapter in retirement. Beverly and I will always be grateful for Becky’s partnership in the gospel, and we pray the Father’s favor for her and her family in the days to come!

Last Sunday – June 30

My last Sunday as Lead Pastor at Ingleside will include two worship services at 9:40 and 11:00 in the Worship Center. Beverly and I will be in the Gathering Area prior to the first service and following the 11:00 a.m. service to speak to you personally. Food and fellowship will begin in the Gathering Area at 9:00 a.m. and continue throughout the morning.

I will be preaching in all services this Sunday, June 23. I will have brief remarks in each service on June 30.

I’m very grateful for your partnership in the gospel, and I am confident that the best is yet to come!

Your Pastor and Friend,

Tim McCoy Signature
