Grow in a Group
Care for one another. Pray for one another. Comfort one another. Encourage one another. Bear one another’s burdens.
These are just some of the “one another’s” in the Bible that help us know how to relate to each other in the church. While they can be lived out in various settings, they are often best expressed in smaller groups in which we really know each other. Smaller groups also allow for opportunities to ask questions and have biblically focused discussions. As we do those things together, it helps us grow in our faith.
So, if you are not yet in a group (either a class on Sunday morning or a small group during the week), I hope you will join one this fall. Try it out for a semester and see if you grow during that time. This Sunday morning in the worship service, you will have an opportunity to fill out a form to let us know you are interested in joining a group, and we will help you get connected. We will also have some staff in the Gathering Area throughout the morning who would love to answer your questions and talk to you about groups.
And, of course, if you are already in a group, I hope you will invite others to join you so that they can experience the same blessings of being in a group as you have experienced.
In addition to Sunday morning, you can always contact our staff to learn more about our groups:
- David Peterson, [email protected] (co-ed, couples, singles, and men’s groups)
- Melanie Foster, [email protected] (women’s groups)
- Stape Patterson, [email protected] (college and young adult groups)
