June 30 – A Celebration

Have you ever completed something significant? Perhaps you helped a team win a championship, earned a college, graduate, or terminal degree, finished a marathon, aced a challenging test, finalized a huge business deal, or won an award.

What did you do when it was over? I bet you celebrated.

A significant milestone is about to occur in the life of our church. We are in the final stages of a very healthy Lead Pastor transition. Pastor Tim has run a faithful race at Ingleside for almost thirty-five years. He crosses the finish line on Sunday, June 30.

Consider this. In December, Ingleside will be seventy-three years old. That means Pastor Tim has pastored this church for almost half its life.

So what will we do on Sunday, June 30? We will celebrate.

We plan to celebrate the goodness of God toward our church family for many decades and the faithfulness of Pastor Tim and his wife Beverly as they have led and invested across many years. And in that celebration, we will proclaim a hope-filled future by the grace of God for years to come.

Our schedule will be slightly adjusted on that day. Here are the details:

What time are services?
We will have two Blended worship services in the Worship Center at 9:40 and 11:00 a.m., with the livestream at 11:00 a.m. as usual. Both services will include musical worship, a time of celebration, recognition, and a final word from Pastor Tim. There will be no Traditional or Contemporary services.

Will there be other programming?
Preschool ministry will still occur, but there will be no Children, Middle School, High School, or Adult programming.

Will I be able to speak with Tim and Beverly?
Tim and Beverly will be in the Gathering Area prior to the first service and following the 11:00 a.m. service to speak to you personally.

Will there be refreshments?
Yes. We’ll have brunch refreshments in the Gathering Area beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the morning.

If you are in town and able, I hope you will plan to be present at one of our services on June 30. Tim and Beverly will certainly be blessed and encouraged by your presence.

In Christ,
