According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the summer season will officially end on Saturday, September 23. However, if your yearly schedule is driven at all by the educational calendar, you know the book is closing on the summer for many.
This change of rhythm also leads to new opportunities to grow in Christ. I hope you will take note of the kickoffs listed below.
Sunday, August 6
- Regular Sunday Morning Schedule Resumes – After a July hiatus, we will return to our Traditional service at 8:30 a.m., two Blended services at 9:40 and 11:00 a.m., and Contemporary service at 11:00 a.m. All programming for preschoolers, children, middle schoolers, and high schoolers kicks back off on this day as well as a full array of Sunday morning Bible studies for adults.
Wednesday, August 9
- Fellowship Supper – Come any time between 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a delicious meal for your family.
- Preschool – High School – Your child will benefit from Bible teaching and small groups at age-appropriate levels. Programming begins at 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays in the Word – Join us in room F-300 for a time of fellowship, prayer, and Bible study beginning at 6:30 p.m.
- Adult Studies – There are studies for men and women, those dealing with grief, or anyone wanting to learn about the book of Psalms or the mysteries of Heaven.
- Worship Arts Rehearsals – Join a choir. Play an instrument. Learn production equipment. Rehearsal times vary.
Sunday, August 13
- Kid Sessions – This is a ministry involving singing, production, and other arts ministries for 5K – 5th graders on Sunday afternoons.
- Student Sessions – 6th – 12 graders will benefit from training in singing, production, instrumentation, and other arts ministries on Sunday afternoons.
- Adult Sunday Evening Studies Begin – Perhaps you will be encouraged by attending Divorce Care, a study on Daniel, or “Waiting in Hope,” – a new group for women struggling with infertility.
- Crave – A large group Sunday evening worship service for high school students beginning at 6:15 p.m.
There’s something for everyone, no matter your age or stage! I look forward to seeing you fully engaged as this semester kicks off.
In the Spirit,
