Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and Sabbaticals
New Ministry for Men
I am excited about a new ministry for men at Ingleside, launching with a lunch on Saturday, February 1. We’ll gather around the table and share a great meal, hear a powerful testimony of God’s work in one man’s life, and see in God’s Word how He wants to work in each man’s life. Men will also have the opportunity to join a smaller, ongoing men’s group. I hope every man who is able will invite some other men and join me at the lunch on February 1. You can register here.
I am thankful for all the men in our church and for the many ways that they serve. I am praying that this new ministry for men will help us grow in the Lord and closer to each other, that we might be sent out on mission to be the men God has called us to be in every area of life.
TAG Kickoff Dinner for Women
Each year, TAG (Thriving Across Generations) small groups form to live out the biblical mandate of Titus 2:3-5 for authentic relationships between women. The kickoff dinner for the new year of TAG groups will be on Thursday, January 30.
Participants register for at least a one-year commitment to meet monthly, discuss and learn from a designated book, and share their personal spiritual journey with one another in a multi-generational group. You can register for TAG here.
Jonathan Green on Sabbatical
This past September, the Board of Overseers approved a sabbatical policy for ministry leaders, providing them a four-week sabbatical after six years of service. Sabbaticals will provide ministry leaders time away from regular, weekly responsibilities in order to spend time in focused prayer and study, pursue professional development, visit other churches and leaders, and plan for the next season of ministry. Sabbaticals will provide significant benefits to our ministry leaders both personally and professionally and will, therefore, benefit their ministries and our entire church family.
After serving faithfully on our team for over 11 years, Jonathan Green, our Worship Arts Team Leader, will be on sabbatical from January 28 to February 24. Allen Wheeler will provide musical leadership in our 9:40 and 11:00 a.m. services, and Chris Hawkins, our Production Ministry Director, will cover other weekly responsibilities.
With the affection of Christ,
