What We Believe
Ingleside is a church that gladly preaches, teaches, and sits under the authority of Scripture. The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, not only gives us clear insight into the nature and will of God but is “profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness” (II Timothy 3:16, ESV). In Scripture, we find that God’s glory is his greatest aim and that eternal life and a relationship with the Father are found only in repenting and believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Who Is Jesus?
The good news about Jesus is that he died on the cross for your sins, he was buried, and he was raised again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). The Bible says that all who turn to Jesus in repentance and faith, will receive forgiveness of sin and eternal life in heaven. Learn more about who Jesus is in this video.
You can receive forgiveness now by simply praying a prayer like this:
“God, I know I am a sinner and do not deserve eternal life. But I believe you sent your son Jesus to die in my place. I believe he died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in heaven for me. I now turn from my sins and am placing my trust in Jesus only to save me from my sins. Please come into my life now. I surrender control of my life to you. Thank you for your promise to forgive my sins and save me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
Friend, if you have made this decision, we want you to share the great news! We would love to talk to you about the new life you have in Christ Jesus.
If you have questions or would like to discuss this with someone, please contact Mark Hudgins. We will be glad to help you take the next right step in your walk with the Lord.
Baptism
Baptism is open to anyone who is a disciple of Christ, who has heard the gospel, repented of their sin, and believed.
